Prior to her career as a legal recruiter, Diana was an experienced
commercial litigator of fourteen years duration. Her areas of specialty
were in real estate with a specialty in common interest developments.
As an associate in her early career, Diana represented businesses
in product liability matters and employment litigation. Later, she
represented developers and general contractors in large construction
defect matters. In 1989 she joined the East Bay firm of Berding
& Weil representing large residential and commercial building
owners, municipalities and other clients in real property, construction
defect, land use and real estate-based legal matters. Diana also
assisted property managers with employment and labor counseling.
As a former partner of Berding & Weil, Diana headed a litigation
team of associates, paralegals and staff.
Her career as a legal recruiter began in 1995 as the Executive Director of a
San Francisco legal recruiting firm where she was responsible for all
recruiting, interviewing, placement and client consultation for the
placement of attorneys and paralegals. She then co-founded The Cushing
Bicksler Group in 1997. She received her JD from Golden Gate U. School of
Law, her MA in Legal Studies from USF, with honors, and her BA in Sociology
and English from the University of CA at Berkeley. Diana is a member of the CA
State Bar, the SF Bar Asso., Queen's Bench and Queen's Bench Business
Development Committee.
Diana's other interests include her volunteer work as a Wildlife
Rehabilitator at the Lindsay Wildlife Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA, and she
is active participant in the Equine Community and provides counsel
and contract advice therein.
